You may know me as your Senator here in Virginia’s 22nd District. You may also know me from my career playing in the NFL. But the truth is, there’s more to my story.

I wasn’t always a member of the Virginia Senate or an NFL player. Before all of that, I was just Aaron from the Seatack neighborhood in Virginia Beach. My mom raised us on her own. I mowed lawns. I washed buses. I did what I could to look out for my family and make ends meet. And now, I’m committed to ensuring everyone in Virginia, no matter where they come from, has the opportunity to succeed.

This legislative session, we made major progress on safeguarding our elections and protecting voters’ rights, strengthening Virginia’s economy and lifting up our workforce, and doing our part to ensure the planet we leave behind for our children is in better shape than before.

With a pivotal election coming in 2024 in Virginia, we need to start now if we’re going to get ahead and make sure we have our full support behind us.

Aaron Rouse was born and raised in Hampton Roads. After playing in the NFL, Aaron came back home to Virginia Beach to give back to the community that gave him everything. Aaron runs a nonprofit and serves in the Virginia Senate, representing the 22nd District in Virginia Beach.
