Planting season is next month, so I’ve been spending most of my weekends in Big Sandy getting the farm ready with my wife, Sharla. There’s nothing better than Montana in the spring, John, and I’m damn grateful for my roots in the Last Best Place.

But the Montana we love is changing.

Gross amounts of dark money are flooding our elections, wealthy outsiders are making it harder for hardworking families to stay here, and foreign adversaries are threatening our family farm agriculture. These fights are personal to me, and there’s too much at stake to back down now.
