John —

In less than 48 hours, polls open in Ohio’s closely-watched Senate primary. Here are 4 reasons why we need to care about this race:

1. National Republicans have Sherrod Brown as a top target. They’ve reserved almost $83 million to try and win back this seat — their largest reservation of the year so far.

2. Sherrod’s opponents are cutting themselves multi-million dollar checks. They’re pouring in their own fortunes — and getting help from right-wing billionaires — to try and buy this seat.

3. The race is statistically TIED. The most recent polling shows a 1-2 point race, no matter who the Republican candidate is.

4. The Senate majority could hinge on this seat. With our Democratic Senate majority so fragile, losing Sherrod Brown could mean Republicans break down our firewall and can pass their extreme agenda through the Senate.

As you can see, the stakes couldn’t be higher in Ohio’s Senate race. The General Election in Ohio is going to start the minute the results are announced on Tuesday, so we need to step up today. Will you please chip in $10 right now, John? Defend the Senate needs all the grassroots support we can get to uplift the most vulnerable of incumbents like Sherrod Brown, invest in key swing races, and protect our Democratic firewall in the Senate >> [[link removed]]
