Did you know I was born in Ireland?
It’s true: After my dad came back from Vietnam and married my mom, they went to work on a cattle feedlot outside Dublin. Then I came along.
We returned home when I was a toddler, so I can’t claim to remember much of my time living in Ireland. But still, I’ve always had a special affinity for all things Irish.
For instance, I’ve always enjoyed this saying: Giorraíonn beirt bóthar , or “Two shorten the road.”
It’s a sentiment that especially resonates now, as we hurtle down the road to Election Day.
It can feel like a Herculean effort just to defend this district, let alone take back the House majority from the MAGA circus.
But you make it a whole lot easier. Your contributions keep our tank fueled. Your support and kindness make this long road feel that much shorter.
That’s why I’m confident that, with your support, we’ll restore decent, responsible Democratic leadership to Congress.
But before I sign off: Won’t you help an honorary Irishman on this St. Patrick’s Day? Chip in a MATCHED donation of $17 to give us a boost before Tuesday’s Primary Election. [[link removed]]

Thank you for walking this road with me.
