John,
I’m following up to make sure you don’t miss the chance to ask your elected officials to support funding for critical programs that help address and prevent human trafficking. Congress is making decisions about how to spend your tax dollars, and it is up to all of us to speak up for those trapped in cycles of violence.
Will you take two minutes to

send your representative an email, asking them to fund the fight against slavery?
Until all are free,

Subject: John, Do You Have 2 Minutes to Spare?
Have you ever wondered what you can do to help end modern slavery? Did you think that writing an email would be the answer? Believe it or not, small actions go a long way in influencing your elected leaders – and YOU have an important role to play.
Your voice is instrumental in shaping the priorities of Congress, including the U.S. federal budget. Elected officials want to hear from you about how you would like to see your tax dollars spent. (In fact, it’s their job to hear the concerns of their constituents!) Use your power to advocate for our government’s anti-trafficking programs by emailing your representatives – it only takes a couple minutes.

CONTACT CONGRESS
When we speak out together, we can show support for U.S. foreign assistance and make lasting change by elevating the voices of others around the globe.
Together, our voices are louder and stronger. In previous years, your persistence led to increased funding for key U.S. anti-trafficking programs, including the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and Child Protection Compacts. This year, we are asking Congress to ensure that these critical initiatives are robustly funded again. Reach out to your legislators and urge them to support critical anti-trafficking and violence programs.
