** HUFFPOST headline: Rep. Ilhan Omar Blasts CNN Over Pundit's 'Blatant Islamophobia and Racism' **

In the latest bigoted and Islamophobic attack against Ilhan, this past week CNN pundit Scott Jennings called her a "public relations agent for Hamas," without a single bit of resistance from the rest of the panel, or any apology from the network.

Blatant Islamophobia and racism are all too common for people who look and worship like Ilhan. And at a moment when Islamophobia across our country and the world is at an all-time high, the normalization of this hate must be condemned unequivocally.

The unfortunate reality is that this is just the beginning of the type of rhetoric Ilhan's going to face in this campaign.

Groups like AIPAC and their United Democracy Project super PAC are preparing to spend millions against progressive women of color like Ilhan, and blatantly bigoted attacks are standard in their playbook.

We need to be ready to fight back against this kind of hate, and the only way we'll have the resources to compete with the right wing's dark money is if we're all in this together.

That's why we're asking: Can you chip in $5 or any amount you can to stand with Ilhan and our campaign today? It's so important that we show Ilhan this movement has her back.

As a hijab-wearing, Somali, Muslim, Black progressive woman, as someone who has experienced firsthand the trauma of war, and as a human being, Ilhan is proud to stand in the struggle for peace and justice across the globe, each and every day.
