The COVID-19 stimulus package just became law last week, but it’s left Americans with many questions. What benefits are Americans getting? Is Coronavirus testing covered? Nikki Mckinney is the Labor Policy Director for Senator Patty Murray. She has been involved on the ground in combating the pandemic on the legislative side. Senator Murray is the Ranking Member of the HELP committee, which facilitates legislation on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Senator Murray has championed efforts to help alleviate the suffering of many Americans on the brink of financial insecurity. The Paid Leave Act is an example, this legislation will help to secure paid sick leave for those impacted by COVID 19.
