A Chara,

Dia duit agus Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit John!

To all of our supporters in Ireland, the UK and around the world...

Good morning and a very Happy St Patrick’s Day!

On this special day for Irish people and people of Irish descent, it may interest you to know that the first post-Brexit census revealed that more than six times as many people in Britain now hold an Irish Passport.

Ireland allows anyone with an Irish grandparent to claim Irish citizenship and following the removal of freedom of movement after Brexit, more people across the UK are reconnecting with their Irish heritage.

Do you have an Irish passport? Would you get one if you could? Take our poll by clicking below!

<[link removed]>In total a whopping 160,000 people <[link removed]>living in England and Wales now hold an Irish passport which allows them to live, work and travel freely across the EU. This compares to 26,000 in 2011.

Last year, so many people in Britain applied for an Irish passport, it was too much to include in the Irish Government’s official chart!

At Best for Britain we want everyone, Irish passport or not, to have their freedom of movement restored. You can find out more about how we're working to fix the problems of Brexithere <[link removed]>.

And Irish passport or not, we wish you all a very Happy St Patrick's Day.

Beir bua,

Niall McGourty

Best for Britain
