Action Alert

Dear Friend,

Animals held prisoner in pseudo-sanctuaries, traveling shows, and roadside displays are forced to spend their lives behind bars in order to entertain the public. They endure relentless frustration, neglect, and sometimes even abuse from the people who are supposed to be caring for them.

Here are just a few examples:

  • SeaQuest Aquariums has a dark history, including hundreds of animal deaths and allegations of serious neglect.

  • Honey the dolphin, 46 penguins, and many others were abandoned when a Japanese marine park shut down in 2018.

  • "The saddest zoo in the world" keeps 500 species of animals—including beluga whales and Arctic wolves—in cramped cages inside a shopping mall.

  • Some roadside zoos confine bears to cruel, antiquated concrete pits.

Bottom line: Even the best artificial environments can't come close to providing the space, stimulation, and freedom that wild animals want and need.

Please take action now to urge facilities such as these to retire the animals there to reputable sanctuaries immediately.

Take Action

Thank you for your compassion for animals.

Sincerely,
