Friend,
I’ve had some time to think over what we all heard from President Biden last week, and frankly, it is not sitting well with me.
My honest thoughts:
First and foremost, when you are the President of the United States—the leader of the free world—the buck stops with you. I lost count of how many times Joe Biden pointed the blame of his own administration's failures at others, instead of being an accountable leader for all Americans.
On Day 1 in the Oval Office, Joe Biden reversed successful immigration policies, leading to the catastrophe we have seen unfold and scatter throughout our nation. No longer is this just a border issue—Biden’s reckless policies have made America less secure. And there is no one but Joe Biden to blame for this.
Additionally, President Biden mentioned American Energy in his 1 hour and 7 minute long speech precisely zero times. That is inexcusable. Our energy independence is what makes America strong, keeps us secure, and brings good paying jobs to American workers.
Furthermore, the President’s remarks on the economy were completely out-of-touch with the reality that Americans are living in. He applauds himself for saving the economy and taming inflation while working families continue to struggle with sky-high prices for their everyday goods and services. Wage growth has failed to keep up with inflation, stripping Americans of their hard-earned dollars.
I could go on and on. But the bottom line here is this: America deserves so much more than what we heard in the House chamber. Our country was hoping for honesty, humility, and an inspiring boldness so we can all move forward, rather than an uninspiring campaign speech.
America sees right through it, as do I.
I cannot stress enough how critically important it is that every American harnesses the frustration they felt watching that poor performance, and use it to fuel the fight to get our country back on track. Republicans MUST take back the White House, flip the Senate, and grow our House Majority.
