Lesko in the News

Read my recent op-ed in the Washington Examiner here.

The radical left has been at war every day on Americans’ appliances, but House Republicans will continue to stand in the way.

Lesko in the Chair

I had the honor of presiding over the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. It’s always a privilege to take on such an important role.

GET THE FACTS: Bidenflation

This week, the national debt reached $34,497,203,823,900.22 compared to just four decades ago when the national debt was about $907 billion. By 2053, the expected interest payment on the debt will be $5.4 trillion, which is more than we spend on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Just from Monday to Tuesday the national debt jumped by $25 billion, and it’s rising every day. At this point, sometime soon the interest payments on the debt will be more than the budget of the Department of Defense. If one thing is clear it’s this, our government has a spending problem. Under President Biden, spending has increased radically and Democrats only want to keep spending. It’s long past time we get this under control. Economists are already sounding the alarm, and we must act before it’s too late.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office regarding a Social Security payment issue. Their son was receiving Social Security Supplemental and then transitioned to a different paying program. During this process there was an issue with the payments, and they could not contact anyone at the Social Security Office. Our office contacted Social Security, identified the error, and ensured continued benefit payments as well as a back payment of what they were previously owed.
