John,

There is a new refugee crisis in Haiti as armed gangs have taken control of 80% of the country’s capital and forced the president to announce his resignation.

Republicans are already using this to attack President Biden, saying his immigration policy will allow Haitians to become a second border crisis. Surprise, surprise.

The last time the U.S. saw an influx of Haitian immigrants, Lauren Boebert turned it into a conspiracy theory. She claimed that Democrats or “someone” must be financing these refugees’ trek to safety.

A tweet from Lauren Boebert. It reads, “The number one question we need answered is where the funding behind this sudden Haitian illegal immigrant surge is coming from. We do not share a border with Haiti. Someone is organizing this on a large scale.”

It’s the same trick Republicans always use with immigration: ignore the human lives in the middle of the conflict, and push propaganda ahead of an election.

John, if they were actually concerned, they would have passed the bipartisan border bill instead of caving to Donald Trump’s demands.

Democrats in Congress are ready to deliver on the compassionate, comprehensive immigration reform that we need, and I’m ready to help them fight for it.

Chip in today and help me beat Lauren Boebert in November so we can take back the House, fix our immigration system, and get our country delivering for the American people again.

John, America was built on the hard work and sacrifices of the oppressed and vulnerable fleeing persecution.

We must reject the growing anti-immigrant rhetoric and xenophobia that extremists like Lauren Boebert are spreading across our country.

We are, after all, a nation of immigrants and should build upon the diversity that has built the fabric of our American experience.

The new Republican plan for the border is an extension of Donald Trump’s rhetoric: close it, build the wall, and lock up anyone who finds a way across. That’s why Lauren Boebert just introduced the "Build the Wall and Deport Them All Act."

Their agenda wouldn’t just hurt vulnerable people searching for safety. It would hurt Colorado families that depend on a reliable migrant labor force to help run their farms and feed our nation.

The economy would also take a significant hit, but that’s okay with Lauren Boebert. She says we can fix it by banning abortion nationwide, increasing the number of American workers.

Even if that plan weren’t abhorrent and inhumane, it would take nearly two decades to start working.

Fixing a problem by creating another problem is bad politics. Americans need real solutions to the problems already in front of us.

We need a comprehensive approach to immigration reform that prioritizes humane and secure policies, modernizes the visa system, expands DACA and DAPA, protects immigrant workers' legal rights, minimizes financial penalties, and ensures access to asylum for persecuted immigrants.

Solution-based leadership is what my campaign is offering CO-04, and it’s what I’ll deliver in Congress.
