NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

Exclusively via ZOOM teleconference
Are you interested in joining the Board? Send an email and short bio to [email protected]. This is the opportunity to put your name forward on the ballot for Board members, including the Executive.
MEETING LOCATION: ON-LINE ONLY
It is not possible to register after the meeting starts.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
If your membership has lapsed and you wish to cast ballots at the AGM renew your membership at the main People's Party website at www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/membership or copy and paste this link into your browser window:

New memberships or renewed memberships must be purchased before April 18, 2020. A membership is required to participate in the AGM.

Due to the coronavirus guidelines this meeting will be exclusively on-line. There is no in-person meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to update local membership on the current status of the Party, review finances, and to hold open elections for the four main Executive positions on the Board of Directors: President, Financial Agent, Vice-President, and Secretary and for Directors-at-Large.
Typically, the AGM is a used to hold an open social gathering and fund raiser and to expand the local membership. Clearly, this is not possible with current restrictions and health concerns. This business of the EDA is important and this is why the current Board rather than push-back the AGM to some unknown date has chosen to move forward using the internet and the ZOOM meeting platform (don’t worry, if your not familiar with ZOOM, its not complicated and instructions for secure individual sign-in will be sent to you at the email on record with your People’s Party membership. This information will be sent out to current members at least 5 days prior to the meeting.
A newsletter and agenda will be sent to members at least 5 days before the meeting. Current valid membership is required to be eligible to vote. Check back here for updates. Check your inbox (and Spam Folder) for your Newsletter.
