Dear John,

We believe an essential part of our mission to defend, strengthen, and renew UK democracy is supporting initiatives by other organisations that align with our objectives. With that in mind, we're excited to extend an invitation from our friends at the European Movement to an upcoming webinar that promises to be both insightful and instrumental to our cause.

Event: British Politics in Crisis: Post-Brexit, How Do We Reclaim the Soul of Our Country?
Date: Monday, 18 March 2024
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM GMT
Location: Online, streamed live on YouTube

This event, hosted by the European Movement, will tackle the critical issues at the heart of our current political discourse: the erosion of trust in our institutions, the decline of standards in public life, and the challenges posed by populism and misinformation. These themes resonate deeply with Open Britain's goals of fostering a more inclusive, democratic society and strengthening our ties with Europe.

The webinar will feature two of the most compelling voices in the conversation about Britain's political future:

- Gavin Esler, journalist, author, and former presenter of BBC's Newsnight, whose recent book *Britain Is Better Than This* offers a poignant critique of our political landscape and a hopeful vision for improvement.

- Gina Miller, a business owner, legal campaigner, and Leader of the True and Fair Party, known for her advocacy for transparency and reform. Gina's work, including her significant legal challenge to the government over Brexit, underscores the importance of upholding democratic principles.

Chaired by Dr Mike Galsworthy, Chair of European Movement UK, this webinar will not only dissect what has gone wrong in recent years but, more importantly, chart a course towards revitalising our democracy.

We encourage all Open Britain supporters to attend this free online event. It's an opportunity to engage with key issues, ask questions, and gain insights that are vital to our shared objectives. The webinar will be streamed live, and a replay will be available on European Movement's YouTube channel the following day.

Your voice is an important part of these discussions.

Best wishes,

Mark Kieran
