Earlier this month, we announced an ambitious end-of-quarter fundraising goal of raising $150,000 from grassroots supporters like you. As we enter the second half of March, we just wanted to reach out to explain why it’s so important that we keep up the pace on fundraising.

Asking people to spare any part of their income is not something we take lightly, so we wanted to share why we hope you’ll make a contribution to help us stay on track this quarter.

Early support matters, especially for down-ballot candidates. Every race is unique, but each of them will need to make important priority decisions that will affect their odds. Things like staffing, campaign tools, advertising budgets, and other line items all have a major impact when it comes to reaching voters. In some races, the difference between electing a climate champion or maintaining the status quo may come down to a handful of votes.

That’s why we can say in no uncertain terms that whether you’ve contributed $1.00 or $10,000+, you're the driving force behind our work, and your involvement has a direct impact on the outcome of the races we work on.
