It’s Jason. I know it’s a Saturday, but I couldn’t wait to thank you.

I celebrated my 45th birthday yesterday. Along with the usuals (a good playlist paired with an Old Fashioned) my staff surprised me with a card signed by grassroots supporters from across the country.

Seeing notes from folks like you made my birthday special. Representing Coloradans is an honor of a lifetime, and I don’t take this privilege for granted.

I’m in this fight because there is still so much that needs to get done.

We need to defend our democracy.

We need to crack down on dark money.

We need to protect our rights.

We need to lower costs and level the playing field.

And we need to bring civility back to our politics.

My time in combat taught me to never back down from a fight, and I don’t intend to stop now. Ushering in a new generation of servant leadership starts with us.
