Hi folks — sorry to reach out to you on a Saturday, but I wanted to give you a quick update on our fundraising progress.

Last night was our mid-month fundraising deadline, and while I’m not done crunching the numbers just yet, it’s already clear that we didn’t hit our target.

As Mikie’s Finance Director, I’ve watched countless fundraising deadlines come and go, so I’m the last person who will tell you this means that the sky is falling or that we won’t be able to recover.

But we do need to close the gap before the next big one arrives — our end-of-quarter deadline on March 31st. That’s when we’ll be submitting our fundraising numbers to the FEC. If we don’t pick up the pace before then, Extreme Republicans will see that our grassroots momentum has slowed down. They won’t hesitate to take it as a green light to pour money into districts like Mikie’s and flip this seat.

Then we’d be in a very tough spot.

That’s why I’m asking if you’ll chip any amount today to help us make up ground. Extreme Republicans won’t just judge our grassroots strength by how much we’ve raised, but by how many donations we’ve received — so your support today, no matter the amount, will make a difference right away.
