I first ran for Congress to deliver tangible results for my community in MN-02. That’s why I’m incredibly grateful every time I’m reminded of what an impact the work I do makes.
Recently, I ran into a constituent in Cottage Grove who now takes his insulin regularly because my bill last Congress capped the cost at $35 a month for our nation's seniors on Medicare.
Folks like him are counting on members of Congress to go to bat for them — not for Big Pharma or other corporate interests.
From fighting to lower the cost of insulin for all Americans who need it, to working to stop price gouging and end the fentanyl crisis, I will always put the health of the people I represent first.
But Big Pharma has spent big against me in past races, and the pharmaceutical industry spent significantly more than any other industry to try to influence members of Congress last year.
We need to take back the House to deliver more progress and make sure Republicans don’t have the votes they need to overturn the Affordable Care Act, cut Medicare and further attack healthcare access.
