John, the American people will never forget what happened on January 6, 2021 when a violent insurrection was waged at the United States Capitol.

In a recent interview, Nancy told George Stephanopoulos that voters have “moved on” from the horrors of what happened that day. It's a stark contrast to what she said a few days after January 6th happened: "We have to hold the president accountable and ensure he never holds office again."

I know you know this, but I need you to hear it personally from me: any attempt to minimize the severity of what happened on January 6, 2021 is an affront to our democracy.
