If you’ve been following the news recently, you’ve probably seen coverage of one of the hot-button issues right now: access to IVF.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an important option for so many families. Since Republicans in Alabama have effectively banned IVF, my so-called “pro-life” GOP colleagues in Congress are refusing to work with us to protect it federally.

We must send a message that this vital medical care must be readily accessible to families across the country. Sign my petition demanding that Republicans in Congress join Democrats to protect IVF.

Becoming a mother was the greatest joy of my life – but like many women in this country, I struggled to get pregnant. I suffered from miscarriages and a stillbirth before I was blessed with Jordan. Throughout those challenging times, I held out hope to be a mom one day.

For so many families, IVF is a last resort and comes after months or years of difficulties. Protecting the choice to pursue this option has never been more important as far-right Republicans continue placing draconian restrictions on reproductive health care.
