Katrina Shankland is a rising star who doesn’t just talk the talk — she’s a woman of action. She’s only 36 years old, but she’s already served in the Wisconsin State Assembly for 11 years and passed over 170 bills into law.¹

Shankland’s already been endorsed by several Labor Unions, as well as Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) — one of the strongest Social Security champions in the U.S. House.

Shankland supports protecting and expanding Social Security and Medicare — and keeping them strong for decades to come by requiring the wealthy to pay their fair share.

The Republican she’s aiming to unseat, Derrick Van Orden, is the sponsor of a so-called “Balanced Budget Amendment” which would make it unconstitutional for Social Security to pay its promised benefits.²

Van Orden’s rating on seniors’ issues for his first year in Congress is 10% — meaning that 9 out of 10 times he voted WRONG for Wisconsin’s seniors.³ (He also infamously unleashed a disgraceful tirade of profanity at Senate pages innocently taking photographs of the Capitol Rotunda.) He’s got to go!⁴
