Good Afternoon!

Thank you for being a steadfast supporter of Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, the New York GOP, and the GOP House Battleground Fund, the tip of the spear for New York’s victory efforts.

As you know, this very important effort is led by House GOP Chairwoman and Upstate Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to protect the 'battleground' congressional seats in New York State.

We appreciate your continued support and wanted to share a few big updates for the week:

Chairwoman Stefanik and House GOP Leadership Release Statement on Biden’s Reckless Budget

On Monday, Speaker Mike Johnson, Leader Steve Scalise, Whip Tom Emmer, and Chairwoman Elise Stefanik released a statement condemning Joe Biden’s out-of-touch budget. House Republicans are focused on reining in the trillions of dollars in reckless spending to ensure hardworking American families can thrive, unlike Far Left Democrats and Joe Biden, who are placing yet another painful financial burden on taxpayers. Read the joint statement below –

“The price tag of President Biden’s proposed budget is yet another glaring reminder of this Administration’s insatiable appetite for reckless spending and the Democrats’ disregard for fiscal responsibility. Biden’s budget doesn’t just miss the mark — it is a roadmap to accelerate America’s decline.

While hardworking Americans struggle with crushing inflation and mounting national debt, the President would increase their pain to spend trillions of additional taxpayer dollars to advance his left-wing agenda.

House Republicans reject Biden’s misguided budget proposal and have taken action to steer our nation back to a path of fiscal sanity. Our efforts to rein in the runaway spending spree from last year's budget have already yielded results, lowering projected deficits by $2.6 trillion over the next decade. The House’s budget plan for the next fiscal year, preceding the President’s proposal, reflects the values of hardworking Americans who know that in tough economic times, fiscal discipline is non-negotiable. House Republicans understand the American people expect and deserve nothing less from their government.”

NYGOP GALA IN New York City

On April 4th, the New York State Republican Committee will be hosting its annual gala in NYC this week with Governor Abbott of Texas. House GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik is leading the fight to protect and expand our House GOP Majority in New York. Elise launched this Battleground Fund in order to fund critical field programs and get out to vote efforts so that Republicans can match the Democrats in New York to get voters out to the polls. Through the House Battleground Fund, we have secured a limited number of tickets to this annual event in support of GOP efforts across the state.

NY-18 SPOTLIGHT: Alison Esposito Calls Out Pat Ryan For His Open Border Policies

This past week Alision Esposito, candidate for Congress in NY-18, called out Democrat Pat Ryan for his support of Joe Biden and Kathy Hochul’s disastrous open border policies. This past Tuesday, Pat Ryan voted ‘NO’ on H. Res. 1065, a bipartisan resolution denouncing the Biden’ Administration’s failed border and immigration enforcement policies, which have led to unprecedented numbers of illegal migrants and deadly drugs flowing over our southern border.  In Early March, Ryan voted against bipartisan legislation introduced after the tragic murder of college student Laken Riley, ‘the Laken Riley Act,’ which would require (ICE) to detain any illegal migrant charged with or convicted of burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting. In May 2023, Pat Ryan voted against the “Secure the Border Act” , a comprehensive piece of legislation to address the crisis at the southern border. Alison stated:

“Pat Ryan tells New Yorkers that he wants to secure the border – but he’s done NOTHING to stop Joe Biden’s disastrous open border policies. If anything, he enables them. Last night, Ryan voted against a common sense bipartisan measure, with the support of dozens of Democrats, encouraging Biden to finally address the crisis and secure the southern border via his executive authority, choosing instead to continue supporting Biden’s failed open border and pro-criminal policies.

The fact is Pat Ryan created a crisis that is endangering America’s national security and putting law-abiding New Yorkers at risk, and now is doing NOTHING to stop it. This dangerous Biden border crisis will continue as long as Pat Ryan is in Congress.

Pat Ryan has a long record of supporting open border policies. As the Ulster County Executive, Ryan made Ulster a sanctuary county and refused to work with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”
