Hi John,
Yesterday, No Labels officially unveiled ([link removed] ) our process to choose a Unity ticket for the 2024 presidential election.
Since late last year, No Labels’ National Convention Chair Mike Rawlings has been holding dozens of virtual meetings with our community with a focus on one burning question: "What kind of candidates do you want to see on a No Labels Unity ticket?" We’ve taken in these responses to create a clear view of the kind of candidate Americans want. And now we’ve created a Country Over Party Committee, which features No Labels citizen leaders who are leading a rigorous process to ensure potential candidates meet two high bars for acceptance:
- Any candidate must align with the six core beliefs of the No Labels movement, emphasizing patriotism, bipartisanship, respect for free speech, gratitude for living in the U.S., and support for the military.
- They must back the key proposals of our Common Sense policy booklet, which presents thirty proposals for tackling the nation’s critical issues, including immigration, border security, the budget, inflation, and foreign policy.
If the Country Over Party committee identifies two compelling candidates who meet these criteria, they must then earn the approval of our more than 800 No Labels citizen delegates. If they win the hearts and votes of this movement’s most dedicated supporters, they'll earn the right to run on the No Labels Unity ticket and shake up the 2024 election.
With two-thirds of Americans craving something besides a rerun of the 2020 election, we're setting the stage for an alternative that's not just different, but truly transformative.
Here's to moving forward and tackling our biggest challenges, together!
