Late last week, Trump appointee Susan Bodine ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to stop living up to its name. Blaming it on COVID-19, the EPA will no longer "seek penalties for violations of routine compliance monitoring, integrity testing, sampling, laboratory analysis, training, and reporting or certification obligations."

President Obama's former EPA head, Gina McCarthy, said the move was, "an open license to pollute," and that Trump was, "taking advantage of an unprecedented public health crisis to do favors for polluters that threaten public health."

Cynthia Giles, another Obama-era EPA head, said "This is essentially a nationwide waiver of environmental rules. It is so far beyond any reasonable response I am just stunned."

Recent Gallup polls show that 49% of Americans approve of the president overall, and 60% approve of his response to the current crisis. Because of this all-time high of support during unprecedented attacks on the environment, we need to know:
