It's green season: St. Patrick's Day, green light to my candidacy, and asking for money (because I'm a candidate)

** Chasing the Rainbow
------------------------------------------------------------
The signs of spring are all around us. The cardinals and blue jays that call my backyard home are busily going about their routines, while the roses come into bloom and the dogwoods blaze brightly in the woods.
The beginning of spring is one of my favorite times of year. Everything and everybody begins to wake up and shed the winter slumber. It is a time of energy, a time of growth, and a time for looking ahead to the things to come. Nowhere has that been more true than here at the campaign.
During the first week of the month, March 7th specifically, I qualified as a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Georgia's newly drawn 7th district. It's official folks! The race is on! And, it is on to November, as I did not draw a primary opponent.
Last week, my team and I focused on the nitty-gritty background work that form the infrastructure of any good campaign. I am proud to let you know that the website: christianforga7.com is up and running and I encourage y'all to check it out.
Another exciting development is we have established and will soon be launching our texting campaign. The goal is to give us a tool to update our supporters in real time about key events or critical moments in the campaign. Keep an eye on your phones over the course of the next week.
Spring is also a time when people turn their eye to fashion, so I am pleased to let you know that we will be receiving our first shipment of what I am sure will be the hottest fashion item of the season - Bob Christian for Congress t-shirts are on the way! These are going to go fast, folks, so stop by any of the public appearances listed below, and grab yours soon.
Finally, all through these first two weeks of March I was able to continue visiting with and meeting Democrats across the district. Forsyth County's monthly breakfast saw a packed room with nearly a dozen new faces. I met a very passionate and focused group of Democrats in Lumpkin County. In Dawson County, I had the honor of witnessing the first Democrat in over two decades register as a candidate for County Commission. And, to top it all off, I was recently named the 1st Vice-Chair for the District Committee.
As you can see, it has been a busy couple of weeks, and this is just the beginning folks. Time flies, and there is very little time to rest on the campaign trail, so over the course of the next two weeks you will start to see a lot more of me out and about while I continue to visit people around the district to let them teach me how to be their Representative. I look forward to meeting all of you.
In closing, I want to say thank you. Thank you to my supporters, thank you to my team, thank you to my family. Without all of you none of this would have been possible. Through your dedication and generosity we have come far and will go further still. All the way to Washington D.C.!
SB 233 - School Vouchers - This bill just cleared the GA House and is now one step away from moving to the Governor's desk. We have one last chance to voice our displeasure. Please, call your State Senator and let them know we need kill this bill and continue to support a strong public education.
Supreme Court - SOTUS will be hearing oral arguments for several high profile cases, including the mifepristone injunction this month and the Trump immunity claim next month. This is not a call to action, per se, but more a call to be aware. The court has an excellent website at supremecourt.gov.
Sine Die - The final day of the Georgia legislative session is coming up on March 28. Be prepared for a flurry of news and calls to action as the legislature wraps up 40 days of incredibly hard work. The best sources of information on developments is usually your favorite Representative or Senator's newsletter. If you are not signed up for one, I encourage you to do so.
