Here’s the truth, John: I don’t like all the money in politics.

That’s why I’ve supported campaign finance reform and really appreciate grassroots donors — so there can be less BIG money in politics.

And, despite this, I still need to raise money. Stuff isn’t free, and it takes resources to communicate all the good work we’re doing. It takes resources to reach folks where they’re at, especially online and on social media.

We need money to break through and spread our message far and wide across Oregon. That’s how my team and I win support for policies and initiatives, talk to voters about the issues, and share our wins with the people of the state. 

That’s why this ask is important, John. We have a mid-month fundraising deadline coming up tonight at midnight, and my team tells me we’re behind pace. When we fall short on fundraising deadlines, it means we have fewer resources to connect with voters, spread my message, and make progress for the people of Oregon.
