Last week, I joined Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC to discuss the need to defend our reproductive rights.

As President Biden said in his State of the Union address, women are not without electoral or political power, and we saw the direct results of this when the future of reproductive rights was on the ballot in 2022 across the country and in 2023 in Virginia’s legislative races.

Millions of American women continue to face threats to their fundamental rights following the Dobbs decision.

In Alabama, we saw just how quickly our rights can be further attacked — not just the rights to abortion and contraception but also the right to access IVF.

That’s why I continue to champion legislative efforts that would protect these rights and defend the freedom of women to make their own choices. These are not decisions made by extreme politicians or judges.
