I just wrapped up a meeting with my campaign team. They delivered the bad news that, as it stands, we’re not on track to reach our March fundraising goal. Even worse, Republican super PACs are swarming SC-01 and ready to spend millions to save their chances at keeping the House majority.
In response, we decided to authorize an expanded texting budget. But the extra money isn’t in our budget right now, so I also gave the go-ahead to raise our mid-month goal to $30,000. It’s a risky decision, but the bigger risk would be to do nothing.
All of this massive GOP spending is clearly making an impact: just in the past week, Trump has endorsed our opponent. This district is now among the most competitive House districts in the nation.
The MAGA goons behind these right-wing super PACs are trying to decide the outcome of this election, so we need to gather the resources to correct the record before this spirals out of control.
