Last Friday, Congress passed the first funding bill to avoid a partial shutdown, which secured over $100 million for Oklahoma. The next funding deadline is March 22nd for the remaining six appropriations bills, so we'll be watching the clock and working to get those done. As long as ByteDance owns TikTok, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) can openly spy on Americans and steal your information. This week, the U.S. House passed a bill that would force ByteDance to sell TikTok to a company not controlled by the Chinese government to remain in the U.S. market. We are now anticipating Leader Schumer will bring the bill to the Senate floor for a vote. Check out this week's Weekly Wrap Up on the necessity of standing up to the CCP.

Oklahoma's military communities are vital to our defense industry. It was great to welcome the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber to Washington this week and chat about pressing defense issues. Fort Sill's Field Artillery School is the best in the nation, and we're committed to upholding this tradition of excellence.

On Thursday, we welcomed the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. CQ Brown to McAlester Army Ammunition Plant to witness our munitions production, visit with the civilian workforce, and see firsthand how McAlester is supporting our defense industrial base. I’m grateful Gen. Brown took the time to visit with us and understand how Oklahoma is strengthening the future of our armed forces.

Joe Biden’s angry, hyper partisan State of the Union speech was packed with falsehoods and completely out of touch with the American people. He neglected to take any accountability for the many crises he has created. I surveyed Oklahomans after the speech and the results are clear.
