Public health officials have urged Americans to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). As we work together to stop this virus and provide relief to our economy, we also have to make sure that we protect our elections.

Many states have postponed their primaries and experts warn that we must take action now to ensure Americans can safely vote in November.

2020 is a critical election year and we must ensure that voters have access to the ballot box.

Americans shouldn't have to choose between their health and their right to cast a ballot. We need a solution: make it easy to vote at home. That's why Amy and Senator Ron Wyden have introduced the National Disaster and Emergency Ballot Act (NDEBA), which would expand early voting and ensure that every American can safely cast a mail ballot.

The NDEBA would make it easier for people to vote from their homes and would also guarantee that voters have 20 days of early voting.
