bethanyforde.com [bethanyforde.com] Dear John,

Can you believe we’re already halfway through Women’s History Month? This is an especially important year to reflect on the role of women in our laws and society – and today, I’d like to talk about what’s at stake.

As a nurse, I’ve spent years working in the perinatal unit and countless nights sitting with grieving mothers who have had to terminate non-viable pregnancies. I’ve seen firsthand how many couples have had difficulties starting their family and have relied on IVF as their last hope.

But now, we are living in a post-Roe world: Republicans are attacking reproductive choice, contraception, and now, even IVF. The hard-fought wins that women have spent decades campaigning for and turning into legislative change have already started to crumble, and it’s up to all of us to remain steadfast in the face of far-right assaults.

John: I will never stop fighting for a woman’s right to make decisions about her body and reproductive health. Our state has already codified abortion access, and as Delaware’s next Governor, I promise to keep up the fight.

Thank you for standing with me in this pivotal moment in our history.
