John, I have some big news —

On the heels of my endorsement from the Sunrise Movement, I'm honored to receive another endorsement, this time from Senator Robert Jackson.

Because good news has been harder to come by lately, I wanted to personally reach out and share this with you.

As a School Board President, City Council member, and now State Senator, Sen. Jackson has been a true hero to those of us who have devoted our lives to public education.

That's why I am so proud to receive his endorsement, which will provide our grassroots campaign a powerful boost as we head into Tuesday's critical fundraising deadline.

But I need your help as well. Will you support my campaign by making a gift today? Remember, the FEC's quarterly reporting deadline is tomorrow at midnight, which means we need big results to show the strength of our grassroots movement.

Sen. Jackson walked 150 miles to Albany to protest educational inequality. He founded the Campaign for Fiscal Equity. He sued the state of New York and won a $16 billion judgment for our underfunded public schools.

Then, in 2018, Sen. Jackson was part of the wave of insurgent candidates who took on entrenched incumbents — and won.

I'm honored to follow in Robert Jackson's footsteps. With his support, we'll also beat our entrenched opponent; with his help, I will serve as a champion for public schools and students in Congress.
