Hi John.

I know people are frustrated by partisan gridlock.

I’m serving to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. And that work begins by confronting corruption and extremism in either party.

That’s why I pushed back against my own party’s leaders to stop congressional pay raises. Then I stood up to them again by supporting a bipartisan bill to stop insider stock trading by members of Congress.

What do you think both parties should work on together? Click here to take my survey and find resources for your family at davids.house.gov/bipartisan.

It’s wrong for officials in either party to use their public positions for personal gain. I’m here to serve you, regardless of party.

I’m serving to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. My mom raised my brothers and me on her own while serving in the Army and then in the Postal Service. I later worked my way through college and am still paying off my student loans. I know people are sick and tired of political games because I’ve felt that same frustration myself.

The good news is that there are people of good faith in both parties who are working together to make a difference. That’s why I’m working with Republicans and Democrats to help pass the bipartisan TRUST in Congress Act. This bipartisan legislation would require members of Congress and family members to put their stocks into a blind trusts to stop conflicts of interest.

It’s true that people in different parties may not always agree on every issue. But at the end of the day, my job is to find common ground whenever possible.

That’s why more than seven out of every ten bills I’m supporting in the House are bipartisan. Kansans deserve civility and results.

I’m here to serve you, regardless of party. If you have any questions, please always feel free to contact me.

My warmest regards,
