Q: Why does it matter if my documents are accessible?
A: Documents that are not accessible may not be able to be fully experienced by all of your audience, be it your coworkers, your students, your clients, or the general public. You've put the time and effort into creating the content; now make sure everyone can consume it.
Due to its suite of built-in accessibility tools, Microsoft Word is a great starting place from which to begin learning how to make your documents accessible.
Attendees will be guided from start to finish through the process of creating an accessible Word doc and will leave the session with a better understanding of the "why" behind each accessibility consideration, how to fix each issue, and a slew of accessibility resources.
Attendees may find it helpful to review North Dakota Assistive and Minnesota STAR's previous webinar, Digital Accessibility 101, before the session. A recording is available on the MN STAR Program's Official YouTube Channel page
Certificates of Attendance will be provided for those who attend the full session.
