Hey neighbor,

In 2011, I was one of 14 Wisconsin state senators who went to Illinois for more than three weeks to thwart a vote on Scott Walker’s plan to gut collective bargaining rights for public employees in one of his first attacks on the working class people of Wisconsin.

Despite some of the largest protests in state history from teachers, firefighters, trade unions, farmers, students, and passionate neighbors, Scott Walker signed the law and Wisconsin has been designated as a place hostile to workers ever since.

Every time the Republicans brag about money “saved” using their “tools” we know those are funds that would have gone to a working family that really needed it instead of going as huge tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations. Local governments have been defunded by the state and  as a result have struggled to find enough teachers, snow plow drivers, and others to serve the public ever since.

All of that could change soon: With fair maps, Wisconsin Senate Dems have the chance to win the majority and restore the rights of workers in our state and raise wages for all our neighbors. Will you chip in to help Wisconsin Senate Dems win in 2024 so that we can finally move on from Scott Walker’s wrongs? >>

A (much) younger Sen. Larson getting escorted

Going after public employees was only the beginning. Private unions were attacked next, followed by the rest of workers in our state. Wisconsin has the lowest minimum wage in the country at $7.25/hour (and even lower for tipped workers). It’s why I have never stopped fighting for a Wisconsin where every worker is valued and treated with the respect they deserve.

With fairer legislative maps, there’s even more hope for the future of workers' rights in Wisconsin.

WI Senate Dems are running progressive, people-first, hard-working candidates in every district. We can out-work the GOP in 2024.

I’ve been a fighter for labor rights in Wisconsin since my first year as a state senator – and I don’t plan on stopping my fight for those looking to achieve the American dream anytime soon.

While I'm not on the ballot in 2024, I'm asking you to help the WI Senate Dems so that we can prioritize Wisconsin’s working families. Can you make a grassroots contribution today?

In solidarity,

Sen Chris Larson
