BREAKING: The New York Times just announced:
The contrast this week couldn’t be clearer―while Donald Trump announced his willingness to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits, President Biden announced a budget that expands benefits, paid for by taxing the rich.
Paul Krugman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning economist, rightly points out that, if elected, Trump will put policymaking in the hands of right-wing legislators just like he did in 2017, when his failed Obamacare replacement gutted Medicare and Medicaid. And the majority of House Republicans have already signed on to a plan that would raise the retirement age to 70, among other cuts!
