Growing up in St. James Town, one of the many neighborhoods in Toronto Centre, I learned about the power of community. Being able to represent the riding where my family started their journey in Canada is the honour of a lifetime and I want to continue delivering results for people in Toronto Centre and across Canada.

I’m proud to be part of the Liberal team that is focused on the priorities that matter most to Canadians: lowering the cost of living, strengthening universal public health care, accelerating the fight against climate change, building safer communities, and building an economy that works for everyone. We are taking action to build up the middle class and build a better Canada.

And we’ve taken concrete steps to get there:

- By cutting red tape, we’re getting more homes built, faster.
- With the Canada Carbon Rebate, we’re putting more money back into Canadians’ pockets by making big polluters pay.
- From protecting our kids against harmful content and ensuring online platforms are held responsible for the content hosted on their platforms, the Online Harms Act will make the internet a safer space for everyone.
While we stay focused on delivering progress like this, Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives work to make deep cuts that will gut the middle class and import far-right American politics here to Canada. It’s more important than ever that we work together so we can protect our progress.
