Protecting the Boundary Waters is near and dear to my heart. I grew up in Afton, Minnesota, east of the Twin Cities, and made multiple family trips to the Boundary Waters and Quetico, learning to canoe, camp, and fish. At the age of 12, I was determined to portage a canoe by myself, and realized that when I put my mind to it, I can do really hard things. This is a special place for me and my family, and needs to be protected permanently.
