James Madison & Andrew Jackson On March 16, 1751, US President James Madison was born in Virginia. Sixteen years later, on March 15, 1767, US President Andrew Jackson was born on the border of North & South Carolina. It's interesting to discover the similarities between these two men.
Both studied law, but only one became a lawyer. James Madison attended Princeton with a goal of becoming a minister, but he studied the law before becoming involved in politics. Andrew Jackson, however, practiced law for much of his early career. |
