I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –

Special Counsel Hur Testifies

On Tuesday, Special Counsel Hur testified that Joe Biden’s ghostwriter, who received classified information from Joe Biden in violation of the law, destroyed the evidence of the crime.

Rep. Jordan pointed out that Biden’s motive for disclosing classified information was for an $8 million book deal and for Biden’s own ego.

During the hearing, Rep. Schiff implied that Special Counsel Hur should have watered down the facts of his report to protect President Biden.

Let me be clear, the left wants two tiers of justice: one that lets Joe Biden and his associates run rampant, and one that maligns and attacks Joe Biden’s political opponents.

We must hold Joe Biden accountable and stop the two-tiered system of justice.

Stopping Chinese Espionage

On Wednesday, I voted in favor of H.R. 7521, the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.

This bill requires TikTok to either divest from its parent company Bytedance—which is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)—and remain in operation in the US, or side with the CCP & face a ban.

The decision is TikTok’s to make.

This bill is vital because TikTok is an espionage tool of the CCP—making it a national security threat.

My office continues to receive hundreds of calls, including from young children whose moms and dads didn’t know they were calling their Member of Congress. When my staff asked how they received the information, these TikTok tykes said they received a push notification from TikTok telling them that “Congress is planning a total ban of TikTok.”

After explaining the bill and the national security risk that TikTok poses, we were met - not with an argument - but a realization of the fact that they had just sent their location to the CCP by pressing a button and entering their zip code. America’s children, the future of our society, are being unwittingly spied on and influenced through this app.

H.R. 7521 is a crucial step forward in the fight to end Chinese Communist Party espionage and spying through TikTok.

Dominating the World’s Nuclear Power Resurgence

My Atomic Energy Advancement Act is vital to positioning America for the nuclear energy resurgence. I gave an update to the Washington Times about this monumental legislation that will ensure reliable, affordable, and clean energy for Americans.

You trust the lights will come on when you flip the switch, and that the AC will turn on to cool your house in the summer.

Pelosi's January 6 Committee

On Monday, the Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight released a report on their investigation into Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Committee.

The report confirms that the January 6 Committee was created to push a political narrative—that’s why they hired Hollywood producers and refused to adopt rules for the Committee.

They violated the House Rules by making then Rep. Cheney a Vice Chair of the Committee instead of the correct position as the minority ranking member.

The Committee deleted interviews and files immediately before Republicans took control of the House to hide evidence.

The Committee amplified a “sensational revised testimony” from Cassidy Hutchinson which was known to have been drastically changed from her third transcribed interview to her fourth interview.

Hutchinson’s testimony was promoted despite evidence from the Secret Service agent who drove President Trump on January 6 that disproved the narrative that Trump jumped for the steering wheel of the vehicle to change its route. Read the report.

Bidenomics Strikes Again

Again, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased at a higher rate than predicted. The CPI increased at 3.2% annually with prices increasing 18.6% over the last three years.

Bidenomics fails Americans and costs them more than $11,400 a year “just to afford the basics.”

Stop the Invasion

During the State of the Union, Joe Biden couldn't even remember the name of the latest victim of the Biden Border Crisis.

Mr. President, her name is Laken Riley—not Lincoln.

Biden was right to call her murderer an illegal, but liberals forced him to walk that back.

He needs to either enforce the law and stop the invasion at our southern border that allows Americans like Laken to be killed or resign.

Biden also noted in the State of the Union that he has been around Washington for a long time, far too long if you ask me.

Despite being in Washington and knowing the border crisis facing our country, Biden chooses to allow our America to be invaded with over 8.7 million illegal border crossings since he took office.

If Biden refuses to stand with Americans over illegals, then he must resign.

Old Glory Only

Recently, Huntington Beach, California held a city-wide vote to ban the flying of any flag on city buildings that doesn't represent the government, military, or Olympics.

In Congress, I introduced H.R. 146 to make sure only the American flag flies over our diplomatic and consular posts.

Only the Stars and Stripes represent our country, not the pride or trans flags.

Crime Wave Hits America

In 3 years of Joe Biden’s leadership, a crime wave hit America.

Joe Biden’s policies fail to stop the invasion at our southern border that leads to the murder of Americans like Laken Riley or the untold thousands who die from fentanyl.

It’s past time for the Senate to pass H.R. 2 and for Joe Biden to sign it to secure the border.

Exerting Oversight on the Biden Administration

Recently, I joined Rep. Banks and Rep, Greene to hold the Biden administration accountable for their International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Travel Loan program that gives free loans to refugees and Special Immigrant Visa holders coming to the United States.

There are loopholes that allow refugees to not repay these tax dollars with zero penalties listed by the IOM. My colleagues and I are exerting oversight on this loan program and the Biden administration.

While your tax dollars are being given away by the Biden administration, Bidenomics makes it more difficult for you to put food on the table and gas in your car.

Legislative Action

I cosponsored H.R.7594, Rep. Boebert’s bill to protect American citizens by preventing illegal immigration through the closing of the border and more.

I cosponsored H.R.7580, Rep Bishop’s bill to reform ICE’s immigration detainment process to continue to safeguard American citizens.

I cosponsored H.R.7384, Rep. McCaul’s bill that would amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to reform and adjust the powers of the Secretary of Health and Human Services to give them the ability to authorize review vouchers that could be used to inspire and motivate more unique pediatric related disease treatments. 

I cosponsored H.R. 7513, Rep. Fischbach’s bill that would protect senior citizens by preventing the Secretary of Health and Human Services from creating a minimum staffer rule within nursing homes and by instituting an official board to advise the nursing home labor unit and workforce.

In the District

Congratulations to the Due West Robotics Team for their strong finish in the FIRST Robotics District Tournament. Now, the team is qualified to compete at the district tournament in Georgia. Read more about their robot here.

Jace Palmer of Newberry County, a 7-year-old, took an IQ test in December and recently joined Mensa after proving his high IQ. Jace's teacher said that "sometimes, I feel like he could teach the class." Congratulations to Jace on this special recognition and I look forward to seeing your success in life.
