Dear John
Pauline Hanson travelled to western Queensland this week and
listened to locals in Toobeah as they revealed how the state
government and the local council had decided behind closed doors to
transfer a vast swathe of public land to an aboriginal corporation
based more than 400km away.
Locals were less concerned about the actual transfer than they were
about the council and the state government assuming that everyone
agreed with the transfer, without asking anyone if they
agreed. All Toobeah locals want is to be informed and consulted, but
they’ve been kept in the dark about the deal for more than four
years.

Since Senator Hanson’s involvement, state government
representatives are providing more information to locals, but concerns
about proper consultation remain.
The lack of community consultation concerning the Toobeah land
transfer decision is exactly why One Nation has always held a
citizen-initiated referendum (CIR) policy. One Nation believes the
Australian people - not just politicians, activists, and the media -
should have opportunities to set the policy agenda in their
country.
Many democracies around the world use this mechanism to test the
community’s acceptance of government laws and policies before they are
implemented, including our neighbours in New Zealand.
________
It's Pauline Hanson's 70th year, and to
celebrate, she has launched a Vodka and Gin special collector's
edition. All proceeds will go towards keeping our cartoon going.

______
Senator Hanson has always advocated for proper community
consultation before major government policies are implemented. A lack
of listening is what leads to poor policy outcomes.
A lack of proper consultation is what's lacking in the approach of
so many governments around Australia. In South Australia, One Nation’s
Sarah Game is the sole MP fighting against the Malinauskas Labor
government’s decision to force a ‘Voice to Parliament’ on people, even
though SA voted strongly against a Voice to Parliament at the Federal
referendum held in October last year.
You might ask, what is the point of having referendums if certain
governments ignore the will of the people anyway?
Governments who ignore the voice of the people, refuse to listen,
and become arrogant should be punished at the ballot box. That’s
called democracy. And it would be a brave Australian government that
would ignore a referendum result.

CASH IS KING
Senator Malcolm Roberts has outlined exactly why it is imperative
that banks continue to provide cash for customers, in this ABC News
interview.

If cash is king, will 'diversity' be our next king? Albo and Adam
Bandt think so, and they have brought out the big guns to force their
agenda. This week's episode of 'Please Explain' is better than
ever.

Our cartoon is kept going through your generous support. For her
70th year, Pauline Hanson has launched a special Gin.
