Brand New Congress candidate Paula Jean Swearengin was nominated by you in 2017. She took up the call and has been fighting for a Senate seat for three years. We know she can win. 

Her 2020 race is critical. Paula Jean’s challenger Shelley Moore Capito received an award from notorious hate group Family Research Council to award her years of voting for policies that undermine our rights. The FRC is aligned with white supremacists and lobby against marriage equality, promote conversion therapy, and have been known to write legislation to limit women’s right to choose

We cannot allow someone with an agenda built on hate to retain a seat in the U.S. Senate. Paula Jean has the support of the people and she can win her primary. We know she can beat Capito in the general, but the COVID-19 pandemic has brought unique challenges to her state-wide race. 

Paula’s primary was set for May, but the secretary of state in West Virginia has announced that mail-in ballots will begin circulating as early as next week. This is a major change, which means Paula and her team need to reach voters NOW. 

In efforts to safeguard their communities, candidates like Paula are no longer running conventional grassroots campaigns. Knocking on doors, holding rallies, house parties and other events are off the table. We must find innovative ways to reach voters over the next few weeks or months, such as massive phone banking, texting, and digital outreach programs. Every volunteer, voter, and dollar counts right now. 

Along with Paula Jean, we are supporting four other Senate races. We are taking on Republicans Mitch McConnell, Joni Ernst, and Susan Collins, and corrupt Democrat Chris Coons, all in one election cycle! 

We know these are unprecedented times; this pandemic has altered every aspect of our lives. We ask, if you can, to please give $5 today and help us elect 5 new U.S. Senate representatives to fight for long-term solutions to the problems we are facing today? 

We are proud to have fighters like Paula Jean on our slate to defeat some of the most insidious Senators in our government. 2020 has been one hell of a year, but there’s still hope.
