Over the weekend, the nation lost its greatest living statesman: a father, grandfather, husband, and friend — Dr. Tom Coburn.
Tom, who was 72 years old, fought a hard, decades-long battle with cancer. I had the privilege of working side by side with him for the last five years. It’s not often one gets the opportunity to meet a man of his stature, let alone to walk daily in his shadow.
He felt strongly about calling a Convention of States, and regularly referred to his role in the movement as “the most important work of his lifetime.”
The virtue and humility with which Tom lived left a tangible impact on everyone he met. Even beginning to describe the lessons he shared and the legacy he leaves behind feels like an impossible task. But for Tom, I’m giving it my best shot, in a blog entitled,

I hope it gives you an inside look at one of the greatest men of our generation.
