John, the General Election matchup is on: Will is officially going to be facing off against Ken Calvert in November.

Here’s what that means for the next 236 days of this campaign: 

• Remember those nasty TV ads Calvert blasted the airwaves with ahead of the primary? Well, we can expect those attacks to become more frequent and even more dishonest. 

• The attacks won’t stop with Calvert, though, John. We know from our last election that Calvert’s MAGA allies will be on the offense against Will with their special interest money and ridiculous smears. 

• But in the end, this race is going to come down to grassroots support, not the influence of big money and special interests.
