John,
The company we keep reflects the values we hold. That’s why we’re alarmed that Delaware’s Colonial Region Republicans are welcoming convicted felon and insurrectionist Derrick Evans with open arms.
A former member of West Virginia's House of Delegates, Evans served three months in federal prison for his role in the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Since his release, Evans has rescinded his admission of guilt and regularly spreads election denying conspiracy theories online. This Friday night, he’ll be headlining the Republican’s annual “Spirit of Freedom” Dinner.
Derrick Evans’ visit is just the latest step the Delaware GOP has taken towards antidemocratic far-right extremism. By aligning themselves with a man whose only noteworthy contribution to American democracy is attempting to overthrow it, local Republicans are endorsing the kind of dangerous rhetoric and actions that actively erode faith in democratic principles.
With Evans in Delaware, we need to prepare for the surge of far-right money that’s bound to follow him here. Can I count on you to pitch in $10 or $25 so we can counter their attacks? [[link removed]]

Extremists like Derrick Evans have no place in Delaware, and voters have proved that time and time again. If we’re going to do it, we’ll need your support.
Thanks,
Travis
