We sent a note about this back in November, but we are thrilled to announce our first Camp End Gun Violence- and it's happening right in the heart of Texas in San Antonio with our partners from Big Mommas Safe House! [[link removed]]
Camp End Gun Violence is a new program presented by Community Justice in partnership with local organizations to train community organizers how to be better policy advocates and to train new violence prevention professionals. The training hopes to support and build the existing infrastructure to help end gun violence in Black and brown communities.
We know that in order to keep the momentum of our collective work going, we have to train hundreds of community organizers who will help to implement public health strategies that are known to reduce gun violence.
Camp End Gun Violence will offer participants lectures and simulations led by campaign professionals from across the country.
At the end of this training you will come away with the skills necessary to advocate for policies and programs that prevent violence.
Training Day 1: Saturday, March 23rd 9am - 5pm CST
Training Day 2: Sunday, March 24th 9am - 2pm CST

This training is free to everyone that signs up.
Community Justice will provide meals, training materials, interactions with national and local gun violence prevention experts, and an invitation to be connected with gun violence prevention work in your community.
