Today is 3.14, otherwise known as Pi Day!

To celebrate everyone’s favorite universal number, there’s no better way to celebrate than with a slice of pie (as if you need an excuse!). I personally think we have some of the best pies in the country right here in the district – yes Georgia, eat your heart out.

My favorites are the apple pie at Rainbow Orchards in Apple Hill, the marionberry pie at Ikeda's in Auburn, and the olallieberry pie at Sweet Pies in Placerville.

In honor of Pi Day, let’s put the “fun” in fundraising. Donate at the links below to vote for your favorite of these pies!

But I’m willing to be open minded, so if you think I’ve gotten this wrong and you’ve found a better pie, send me a slice and I’ll be the judge.

In the meantime, you can vote for a different pie by donating through the: “Jess, I Found a Better Pie”, link!  [[link removed]]

Of course, my dad maintains that my lemon meringue pie is by far the best:

Thanks for your support as always, and we’ll share the results from our pie survey in an email in a few days!
