Hi, John – it’s Governor JB Pritzker, and I’m reaching out today with an important request.

Last night, President Biden delivered his third State of the Union address, where he celebrated the strides he’s made in protecting our democracy and our freedoms, shared his blueprint for the future, and made it clear that he’s ready for whatever challenges lie ahead. But before I share more about President Biden’s agenda and what Democrats are up against this November, I’d like to invite you to take part in the DGA’s Post-SOTU Stakeholder Survey before midnight.

BEGIN HERE
As Governor of Illinois, I’ve seen how Joe and Kamala have partnered with leaders at every level of government to build a better America. They’ve helped our country get back on its feet after a devastating pandemic, invested in critical infrastructure projects, and lowered costs for working families – and President Biden made it clear in his SOTU address last night that they're dedicated to continuing that work.

Under President Biden’s leadership, we can keep moving forward. We can ensure that every family feels the benefit of a growing economy, that every woman has her rights protected, and that the principles of our democracy remain strong. But in November, all that is at risk.

Nationwide, Republican governors and lawmakers are determined to implement an agenda where abortion rights are stripped away, the right to vote is weakened, and thousands of books are banned. And dangerous judicial decisions like the one we recently saw in Alabama show that their ultra-conservative ideology is beginning to take hold.

Fortunately, Democratic governors are working tirelessly to protect and expand your rights and veto dangerous pieces of legislation. In Illinois, we’ve enshrined reproductive rights into state law, raised the minimum wage, expanded access to affordable health care, and signed legislation preventing libraries from banning or restricting access to books – the first-in-the-nation ban on book bans.

I know firsthand that together, we can stop these extremists from taking us backward.

To ensure that we prioritize the voices of working American families as we craft our 2024 strategy, we need to hear from folks like you. Your feedback is essential to advancing our cause and helping us focus on what matters most in people’s lives. So I’m asking: As we reflect on President Biden’s address and the role each of us plays in protecting our democracy, will you take part in our Post-SOTU Stakeholder Survey? The DGA needs 24 responses from 19125 by midnight tonight, and I’m hoping you’ll be one of them, John(blank).

BEGIN HERE
We’re counting on you.

Let's give this all we've got,

JB Pritzker
Governor of Illinois

As governor, JB Pritzker has a proven track record of results. He’s made it possible for nearly every student to go to community college tuition free, guaranteed paid leave for all workers, made Illinois the 9th state to ban assault weapons, and signed legislation on the first-in-the-nation ban on book bans.

Will you answer his call to action and begin the DGA’s Democratic Strategy Focus Group before midnight tonight?
