In these past four weeks at the Capitol, my colleagues and I have worked diligently to move legislation through committees and are gearing up for busy weeks ahead on the House Floor. We are building on the historic achievements of last session, advancing legislation that improves the economy for working families, increases access to affordable housing, and makes health care affordable for all Minnesotans.
Thank you to all our constituents for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join our town hall meeting last night! Your presence and input are invaluable in shaping our vibrant community.
If you were unable to join us and have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office at [email protected] or call 651-296-8659.
The Minnesota House Housing Finance and Policy Committee passed my HF 685 bill with an 8-5 vote on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024. The bill would give individuals and families an equitable opportunity for homeownership in the marketplace by restricting when corporations may purchase single-family homes.

I am dedicated to strengthening protection rights for renters across Minnesota. That’s why I am the lead author of the 'Just Cause Eviction Protections’ legislation. In my remarks I spoke on the importance of establishing legal grounds for eviction, ensuring landlords can only terminate tenancy for legitimate causes.

House Approves 101 Environmental Projects
Minnesotans take pride in our legacy of environmental stewardship. That’s why I was proud to vote ‘yes’ on legislation to fund 101 projects across our state that protect our wildlife, water, air, and soil.
The funding, which comes from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, uses a portion of our state lottery proceeds to ensure our environment and natural resources are protected for generati
In our district, I am happy to share the Shingle Creek Aquatic and Shoreline Habitat Enhancement and North Minneapolis Nature Connection: Storytelling and Leadership Pathways are potential recommendations as grant recipients.
