Hey folks, did you catch Michelle on MSNBC last weekend?
She joined during primetime on the show Ayman to talk about how extreme far-right and Democratic Latinas are both running for office as the Tejano vote continues to grow — and splinters — when it comes to issues like immigration and reproductive rights.
Michelle was able to talk about issues that community members — both Democrats and Republicans — have been concerned about including ensuring their families had access to healthcare and that women had access to reproductive care with the right to choose.
We continue to watch Monica bring this district back in time with her outdated and harmful voting when it comes to issues like abortion. Monica believes that she understands this district and South Texas with these decisions — but she couldn’t be more wrong.
Michelle has spent the time talking with members of communities across the district — including her own family — and folks have made it clear: they WANT the right for women to choose what happens to their own body and to leave those conversations to doctors, not politicians.
When asked during the interview how far-right MAGA Latinas like Monica were able to win in the last cycle, Michelle stressed this critical point: there were folks who didn’t have access to the polls or little to no information to vote.
That’s why between now and November we have the critical job of getting as many people as we can in TX-15 the resources to vote and making sure they know what a leader like Michelle can do for their family and community.
We know if we can do that, then we can WIN. Click here to hear from Michelle from her MSNBC interview.
